4. Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga

Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga is a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas considered the most sacred abodes of Shiva. Located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India, the temple sits on the banks of the holy river Shipra. The presiding deity is the self-manifested (Swayambhu) lingam form of Shiva, believed to derive its own divine power (Shakti). Madhya Pradesh also houses another Jyotirlinga, Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, situated approximately 140 km south of Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga. 

5. Shree kaal bhairav mandir

Kal Bhairav Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India, is a revered Hindu shrine dedicated to the city’s guardian deity, Kal Bhairav. 6. Kharmour Bird Sanctuary

The Sailana Wildlife Sanctuary, established in 1983 in Ratlam district, Madhya Pradesh, spans 13 sq. km. Named after the rare ‘Kharmour’ bird, it is a vital stop for migratory birds and a breeding habitat for Lesser Florican in India. Ornithologist Salim Ali recorded 89 bird species here and authored a book about the birds of Sailana. The best time to visit is between July and September. It is part of the Kathiawar-Gir dry deciduous forests ecoregion.

8. Kaliadeh Palace

Kaliadeh Palace, a popular historical monument, showcases brilliant Persian architecture. Built in 1458 A.D. on a small island in the Shipra River, it was frequented by Mughal emperors Akbar and Jehangir, as evident from Persian inscriptions. Despite damage in 1818, Madhav Rao Scindia restored it in 1920. A must-visit for history buffs and architecture enthusiasts in Ujjain. The river Shipra flowing on both sides adds to its stunning allure, and lush green surroundings attract nature lovers and those seeking peace.

9. Shree Lakshmikant Mandir (Brahmin Gali)

Shree Lakshmikant Mandir, located in Brahmin Gali, Jaora, houses a miraculous idol of Lakshmikant Bhagwan that is over 900 years old. Constructed and renewed by Trivedi Mewada Brahmin Samaj, Jaora, the temple’s ancient charm beckons visitors to step into history. The awe-inspiring 900+ year old idol of Shree Lakshmikant Bhagwan, along with its intricate architecture and religious significance, makes it a must-visit for devotees and history enthusiasts alike.
